
LM Glasfiber is accredited to test wind turbine blades by DANAK – the Danish Accreditation and Metrology Fund. This accreditation from the official Danish body in this field is the seal of approval for impartiality, reliability and technical competence in the methods used in our testing and calibration laboratories. We carry out both static and dynamic tests on all our new blades, and the results are then incorporated into our integrated test programme.

Non-destructive testing (NDT) is an important tool in our work with quality assurance and product documentation. We use techniques that include ultrasound scanning for the advanced final checks of our blades. We have also automated the monitoring of the geometry of our completed blades using a blade contour scanner.
