Service on an international scale

Wind turbine blades are expected to operate for 20 years in all kinds of weather. That is what makes it so important to carry out regular service and maintenance on the blades. Regular servicing can repair any wear and tear and prevent damage occurring.

Our specially trained employees service LM blades according to approved and tested instructions. These service instructions are based on our detailed knowledge of every detail of the blade. The service departments provide all types of service inspection, damage assessment and repair.

LM lift and abseiling

Our service technicians either use a specially designed lift or they abseil from the blades.

The LM lift is fast and versatile, making an expensive crane unnecessary in most cases. The lift is attached to the nacelle by two wires, while two other wires are fixed to the ground.

Abseiling is another method used by our service technicians during maintenance work. This method enables them to work on all types of turbines, regardless of their height and location.

Full-scale testing on all blades

All our blade types undergo both
static and dynamic testing. We can
test blades up to 80 metres long
in our own test rig.
