Blades play a crucial role in wind turbines – their design is crucial to the efficient exploitation of energy from the wind. LM Glasfiber blades are currently mounted on more than one in three wind turbines throughout the world.

We have produced and sold more than 120,000 blades since 1978, corresponding to a capacity of 37 GW, which every year contributes to saving the world 70 mio. tonnes CO2.

Our production capacity measured in MW is the largest in the industry, and we have factories in four major regions: Northern Europe, Southern Europe, North America and Asia. Our factories are located right in the most important wind energy markets. This is to make sure our customers benefit from rapid, efficient, on-time delivery.

Joint research

LM Glasfiber conducts extensive R&D in close collaboration with both customers and leading research institutions. Our objective is to develop new technology that makes wind turbines more efficient and extends the service life of both the turbines and the blades.

We are currently one of the world’s largest producers of fibreglass-reinforced plastic – the result of more than half a century’s work with advanced composite materials.
